Real-time market surveillance that compliance leads can actually read
Sentinel is a multi-tenant compliance platform for trading firms. I am designing and building it: live monitoring across major instruments, a market abuse alert pipeline for spoofing, wash trades and layering, an investigation workflow and role based access for compliance leads, analysts and firm admins.
Challenge
Surveillance was scattered across slow legacy tools
Compliance teams were working with dated interfaces, slow alert flow and weak investigation workflows. Sentinel had to be dense enough for analysts and readable enough for leads, with per-firm rules that support regulatory configuration.
Solution
A live feed, a five-level taxonomy and case management
The Next.js app streams a live ticker across instruments, tags alerts on a five-level risk model from Critical to Info, and runs investigations with roles and a per-firm rules library. Dashboards show open and closed cases, account growth and an instrument by hour heatmap of alert density.
Result
From investigation to regulatory report in one place
Global reports support cross-firm regulatory submission, and the platform is in active development towards launch.
