Enterprise web application development
Enterprise web application development
Custom applications designed and built by one person who does both, for government, fintech and education teams.
Enterprise web application development
Who hires me for this
I design and build custom web applications that replace spreadsheets, legacy tools and vendor platforms that stopped fitting. Government ministries, a college, fintech and real estate teams use what I have shipped. You work with me directly from the first workshop to the release.
Teams that need a production application, not a template, and want one accountable person instead of an agency chain.
Government and public bodies replacing manual scoring and reporting with a secure platform
Fintech and compliance teams that need dense, real-time dashboards their analysts can trust
Colleges, nonprofits and multi-tenant operators serving many organisations from one system
Founders who need an MVP that is already enterprise grade on roles, auth and data
What gets built
Data model and architecture
Schema, roles, audit trails and the hosting plan before any screen is designed. Next.js or React with TypeScript, Firebase or Supabase, Vercel or your cloud.
Role based access and multi-tenancy
Admins, analysts, partners and clients each see their own slice, with per-organisation data and permissions.
Dashboards and data visualisation
Scores, maps, charts and tables built for the people who read them every day, not for screenshots.
Workflows, forms and reporting
Data collection, approvals, scoring engines, exports and reports that stakeholders can act on.
Integrations
Payments, email, maps, AI assistants and third party APIs wired in with the error handling production needs.
Security and compliance
Authentication, encryption at rest and in transit, environment separation and the documentation institutional clients ask for.

How an engagement runs
01
Scope workshop
A one to two hour session to map users, data and the first release. You get a written scope with the price and the timeline.
02
Design in the open
Clickable designs of the core flows within the first two weeks, reviewed with the people who will use them.
03
Build in releases
Working software every one to two weeks on a staging URL, with your feedback folded into the next release.
04
Launch and hand over
Production deployment, documentation, training and a support window. You own the code and the accounts.
Questions I get asked
How much does enterprise web application development cost?
It depends on roles, integrations and data complexity. A first release for one team is a five figure fixed price; a multi-tenant platform with reporting and integrations is larger. You get a written fixed price after the scope workshop, and hourly work is billed only for the hours it takes.
How long does it take?
A focused first release usually ships in six to ten weeks. Larger platforms are released in stages so something useful is live early. The Smith College platform went through iterative cycles with more than 140 feedback items; the Cayman Islands scorecard was rolled out in phases with in-person workshops.
What stack do you use?
Next.js or React with TypeScript on the front end, Firebase or Supabase for data and auth, Vercel or your cloud for hosting, Mapbox for maps, Stripe for payments. I pick the stack your team can maintain after I hand over.
Do you work with existing teams or legacy systems?
Yes. I have replatformed stores off legacy ecommerce systems, migrated marketing sites between CMSs and built new applications next to existing databases. The first step is always an audit of what you have.
Can you meet government security requirements?
The Cayman Islands National Resilience Scorecard was built to the government’s security requirements inside an EU funded programme with Expertise France and IRMA. I document architecture, access control and data handling so it passes review.
What do I get at the end?
A deployed application, the repository, documentation, training for your team and a support window. No lock-in to me or to a platform.
