Headless Shopify for Premium Skincare
A store that reads like a magazine and converts like a funnel
For Verdant I built a headless React storefront on Shopify with an editorial voice: serif type, a warm botanical palette and real product photography. A five-question quiz scores answers into a personalised AM and PM routine, with Klaviyo flows and Recharge subscriptions behind it.
Challenge
Off-the-shelf themes could not carry the brand
Premium skincare buyers expect magazine typography, restrained colour, ingredient-led product pages and a routine builder that turns confusion into one decision. No theme gives that level of control.
Solution
A custom frontend with a quiz engine at its heart
I built the React storefront on Shopify, a tag-scored quiz and routine builder, conversion-tuned product pages with sticky add to cart, reviews and ingredient stories, browse-abandon and post-purchase flows in Klaviyo, and subscribe-and-save with skip or pause anytime.
Result
Built for subscription lifetime value
The store positions Verdant as a slower ritual alternative to mass-market skincare, with express checkout and subscriptions ready for launch.
